Controller
The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is Cortec AG, Mondstrasse 22, CH-3930 Visp, info@cortecag.ch. Please send any privacy questions to this address.
We comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, this information applies accordingly.
In short
This website uses no cookies, no analytics or advertising services (no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel) and embeds no third-party content. The fonts are hosted on our own server. We only process personal data when you write to us through a form, book a call-back or contact us directly.
Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary information to our web server: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. This information is stored in the server’s log files to ensure the operation and security of the website and deleted after 30 days.
The website is hosted by Metanet AG in Zurich.
So that we can inform you immediately of a technical incident, the website requests the current status from our automation server (n8n, operated in Leuk, Valais) when a page loads. Your IP address is transmitted in the process; no other data is sent or stored.
Contact, demo and support forms
When you write to us through a form, we process the details you enter: name, company, email address, phone, your request, the modules selected and your message; for support requests also the subject, the module concerned and how much you are affected. We also store the page from which you wrote and the language.
The details are sent through our automation server (n8n) as an email to our inbox (demo, quote, question) or to our support inbox, where a ticket is created; questions about invoices and payments go to our accounting team. For demo and quote requests we create a follow-up task in our Cortec ERP system. You receive an automatic acknowledgement at the email address provided. The emails run through Microsoft 365 (addresses @cortecag.ch) and Metanet AG in Zurich (addresses @cortec.pro).
We use these details only to answer your request, prepare a demo or quote or handle your support request. They are not used for advertising and not sold. We keep them as long as necessary for the request and any business relationship and as required by statutory retention obligations (generally ten years for business correspondence).
Call-back appointments (Microsoft Bookings)
For call-back appointments we use Microsoft Bookings. The link leads to a Microsoft page; the details you enter there (name, email, phone, preferred time, request) are processed by Microsoft on our behalf. Data may also be transferred to the USA. Microsoft is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information in Microsoft’s privacy statement: privacy.microsoft.com.
Remote support
On the support page we provide a remote support program for download. It only transmits anything if you start it and allow the connection – at our request on the phone. We use RustDesk with our own server in Visp for this; no third-party provider is involved in the connection.
Links to social networks
Our website links to our pages on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. These are simple links: data is only transmitted to the network concerned when you click one of them, and its privacy policy then applies.
Disclosure and transfers abroad
We only pass on personal data to service providers who process it on our behalf (Metanet for hosting and email, Microsoft for email and Bookings) or where the law requires it. Except for Microsoft Bookings, we process the data in Switzerland.
Data security
The website is only accessible in encrypted form (HTTPS). We protect data against loss and unauthorised access with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
Your rights
You can ask at any time which personal data we process about you and request its correction, deletion or release, and object to processing, unless a legal obligation prevents this. Please write to us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
